The Virginia Tech Student American Foundry Society (AFS) Chapter presents the Bi-Annual Virginia Tech Foundry Open House on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Virginia Tech Foundry Institute for Research and Education (VTFIRE).
The Virginia Tech Foundry is proud to invite everyone to come and explore the world of metal casting at this semester’s Foundry Open House. All attendees will be able to create a design in a sand mold of their very own and watch it be poured in molten iron as a memento of their visit.
Admission is free and this is a family-friendly event.
We ask all participants to please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
Virginia Tech’s Foundry is located at 145 Inventive Lane in Blacksburg, VA.
