The Virginia Tech Union and the Black Student Alliance at Virginia Tech present Lil Yachty in concert with an opening performance by Kash Doll on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 inside the Burruss Hall Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Miles Parks McCollum, known professionally as Lil Yachty, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. Lil Yachty has called his style "bubblegum trap" and his songs have sampled sounds ranging from Mario Bros., Charlie Brown, the theme from Rugrats and the startup sound of a GameCube console. Other themes in his works include clouds, cotton candy, the Super Nintendo, and scenes from Pixar films. Yachty's style has also been described as mumble rap.

Lil Yachty was born in Mableton, Georgia. In 2015, he adopted the stage name "Yachty" and moved from his hometown of Atlanta to New York City to launch his career.

Yachty first gained recognition in August 2015 for his singles "One Night" and "Minnesota" from his debut EP Summer Songs. He released his debut mixtape Lil Boat in March 2016.

Tickets are $25.00 for the general public and $15.00 for Virginia Tech students.
