The Filipino American Student Association at Virginia Tech presents their 31st Annual Culture Show titled "Nagbabago" on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Burruss Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Tech.
FASA's Culture Night features an evening filled with laughter, excitement and the celebration of Filipino culture. Join us and witness traditional Filipino dances, modern choreography, musical performances, acting, and a fashion show!
This year we follow the story of Princess and Benji. Princess is an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of the Big City and nothing can stop her, except her traditional parents. Her older brother, Benji, a successful doctor, a major nerd and a little uptight at times, has never seen eye-to-eye with Princess.
However, life is suddenly put on hold when a family emergency forces Benji and Princess to travel to the Philippines together. What was meant to be an easy trip shifts into a whirlwind of twists and turns. Join us as we learn how two siblings fight through adversity to overcome flooding, fighting, and a trio of bandits to get to their sick relative and discover the true meaning of this year’s Culture Night theme: “Nagbabago”. Will they make it in time?
Intermission features the chance for all audience members to win various raffle prizes, insight into our philanthropy, The PUSO Foundation, and our 2019 Rhonyll "Bong" Seballos Scholarship recipient will be announced.
Come out and support these hardworking and talented Virginia Tech students and watch a yearly awaited show loved by many!
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Doors open at 4:30 pm and the program starts at 5:00 pm.
