Radford University and the City of Radford present the 2019 Radford City Fine Arts Show Opening Reception on Thursday, May 23, 2019 PM at the Radford University Art Museum on Tyler.
The show will feature more than 50 pieces of original art in a variety of media featuring artists across Southwest Virginia.
Each year the College of Visual and Performing Arts partners with the City of Radford to showcase outstanding artists within the Southwest Virginia region. All entries undergo a blind jury process to determine artwork to be featured in the exhibit. Cash prizes are awarded to selected artists, with a top prize of $500.00 for Best In Show.
This year the show’s juror will be Dr. Patrick Shaw Cable, who serves as the Deputy Director of Exhibitions and Education at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The exhibit will on display from Thursday, May 23, 2019 though Friday, June 21, 2019. Summer gallery hours are Monday-Saturday from Noon-4:00 PM. The museum will be closed on Memorial Day.
The Radford University Art Museum on Tyler is located at 214 Tyler Avenue on the campus of Radford University and is next to BT's.
