The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with fire and rescue departments from across Montgomery County, present the 2019 EFFORT (Enabling Friends For Our Response Teams) Event on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Christiansburg Rec Center.
Montgomery County First Responders are joining forces to develop a program focusing on our community of individuals with disabilities. Enjoy food, fun and training plus many friendships made!
Participants and their loved ones will enjoy:
• Obstacle Courses Adapted For All Abilities
• Training on Effective Bandaging
• Proper Method for Contacting 911
• Training on Safe Use of Fire Extinguishers
• Chance to Try on Firefighter Gear
and more!
Admission is free and pre-registration is not required.
To meet the needs of your loved one, you will be asked a series of questions to best prepare those assisting with the event.
This is a collaborative event with the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services.
