Radford University Planetarium presents the Apollo 11 Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon with a full day of family-friendly events!

At 3:17 p.m. eastern time on Sunday, July 20, 1969, the Eagle landed on our moon, one of humanity's greatest achievements, and the first time that we truly ventured far from our home on our pale, blue dot. Join us as we celebrate this momentous event!

Activities include:
• "Moon 2019” full dome planetarium show produced especially for this day
• Planetary-themed painting workshops
• Astronomy activities
• Tours of the Museum of the Earth Sciences
• Interactive displays
• Lectures
and much more!

Free planetarium shows will be shown at:
• 10:00 am
• 11:30 am
• 1:00 pm
• 2:00 pm
• 3:00 pm
• 4:00 pm

Admission is free and open to the public.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event. Note: No food or drink is allowed in the planetarium.

The Radford University Planetarium is located within the Radford University's Center for the Sciences located at 925 East Main Street in Radford, VA.
