Virginia Tech Women's Club (VTWC) presents their November Friday Forum with WDBJ7 Anchor Robin Reed on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Blacksburg, VA.

For 47 years, Robin Reed has been involved in journalistic activities. His recent appointment at Virginia Tech allows Reed to share his vast experience with students and the general public. Robin Reed was a long time meteorologist and is now news anchor at WDBJ7 in Roanoke, VA. He is also a Professor of Practice and Department Head of the Department of Communications at Virginia Tech.

VTWC hosts monthly “Friday Forums” that are free and open to the public featuring a broad array of lectures on topical issues. These Friday Forums help connect the VTWC with the New River Valley community in a fun and informative manner.

VTWC Friday Forums are held in the Fellowship Hall at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. All events begin with coffee and conversation at 10:00 am on the first Friday of the following months: October, November, December, February and April. Events, times, and dates are subject to change.

Organized in 1965, the purpose of the Virginia Tech Women's Club is to expand the intellectual and social horizons of its membership, provide scholarships for women at Virginia Tech, and promote the interests of Virginia Tech.

The Virginia Tech Women’s Club (VTWC) is a support organization for the VT community. We welcome current and retired faculty and staff, the wives of current and retired faculty and staff, as well as VT alumni, and interested community members to become active members.
