Student Engagement and Campus Life at Virginia Tech presents the 12th Annual Gobblerfest on Friday, September 6, 2019 on the Virginia Tech Drillfield.

Gobblerfest is an annual festival intended to engage students in campus activities and connect with the surrounding community while inspiring curiosity, civility and self-understanding. This free event has become a highlight of the start of the academic year.

Student organizations, businesses, non-profit organizations, and Virginia Tech departments will offer food, games, free giveaways and volunteer service information at booths around the Virginia Tech Drillfield.

Gobblerfest also includes food vendors, amusement rides, live entertainment, and opportunities to meet new people and discover all that the university and New River Valley communities have to offer students.

The event is free and open to the public.

Gobblerfest was conceived in the fall of 2008 as a festival welcoming people to the Blacksburg community.

Gobblerfest is rain or shine event. In the case of predicted severe weather, a notice will be posted to our social media channels.
