The Virginia Tech Perspective Gallery, located in the Squires Student Center, presents the Opening Reception for artist Pippi Miller's new exhibit "Reiterated Histories" on Friday, August 30, 2019.

Pippi Miller’s "Reiterated Histories", is a term she created to explain the art in this exhibit. A native of Central Appalachia, Pippi’s new photographs explore the mundane and extraordinary daily interactions her son has within this world. Many of the places photographed are a part of Pippi’s childhood, a layer of the past now added to memory yet revived and relived by her young son.

Kailey Schenker will be playing cello during the reception.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The exhibit runs from August 27 – October 13, 2019.

Gallery hours are Monday from 6:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday-Saturday from 12:00-9:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00-5:00 pm.

Perspective Gallery is located in the second floor gallery in Virginia Tech’s Squires Student Center at 290 College Avenue in Blacksburg, VA.
