Enjoy a day of Americana music from the heart of Floyd featuring six bands and performers playing home grown music including blues, folk, country, bluegrass and reggae. Local bands performing include Virginia Hollow, Cocobollo, Henry Hardy’s Mudcat’s, Jake Retting and others.
Virginia Hollow is a mixture of Americana, bluegrass, country, indie and rock. A singer-songwriter band that performs songs written by lead singer Carrie Hinkley, along with an occasional handpicked cover or two.
Virginia Hollow is a band and a sound born from the hills, valleys and mountains of Appalachia. Their performances and music take you on a journey fraught with raw emotions and stories of love, trust, betrayal and longing. When all is said and done, the haunting melodies of Carrie Hinkley's soulful voice are hard to shake off and instead keep returning and replaying in one's mind, like an untamed mantra of beauty and tragedy. This is a band whose time has come and needs to be reckoned with.

https://www.facebook.com/virginiahollowband/Cocobolo, a band that blends magic and mystery into melody, plays thought provoking, entertaining original music written by it’s members, all of whom currently call Southwest Virginia home.
You are sure to love the creative and intricate leads of Bob Dillard, a lifelong guitarist, who brings excitement to the stage with his enthusiasm and skill. The sensitive and seductive bass accompaniments of Christopher Luster, playing electric stand up fretless bass, often surprisingly with a bow, the foot tapping rhythms and grooves of percussionist T.G. Williams, and the warm vocals of singer, Stella Trudel, whose commitment to writing original lyrics and singing from the heart weaves stories into harmonies that stir emotions and leave listeners wanting more.

The band members are Jeff Liverman, Jeremia Dwier, Barb Gillespie, Will Norton and Sean Matuk.
The Mudcat’s specialize in illuminating the influence that old style street music including blues and jug band sounds had on modern Rock and Roll. They play songs made popular by such artists as Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Nirvana and Eric Clapton, but they play in the style of the original recordings from the 1920s and 30s.
Henry Hardt’s Mudcats are a fun, danceable look back at some of the most influential music of the last three generations.
