ROAM New River Valley presents the Back to School ROAM Bike Challenge on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at hub locations and bike trails at Virginia Tech, the Town of Blacksburg and the town of Christiansburg.

We’re challenging riders to bike to every hub (12) in the bike share system! Are you up to the challenge?

You’ll have three hours to complete the challenge on Sunday starting at 12:00 PM and finishing at 3:00 PM.

What do you get for participating?
• Ride to at least 2 hubs to qualify for prizes (stickers, pins, water bottles) and your very own finishers’ certificate.
• The top 8 riders who bike to all eight VT Campus Hubs will additionally get a Heads Up Hokie T-shirt.
• The top overall 3 riders will additionally win their pick of a $25.00 gift certificate to East Coasters plus an East Coasters Water Bottle, a $25.00 gift card to Idego Coffee or a NRVBA pint glass and club socks!

You’ll have the opportunity to claim your winnings and free pizza on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Benny’s Pizza on Draper Street in Blacksburg where we’ll celebrate all the ROAM Challenge participants.

RULES:
• You must take a ROAM bike
Register with ROAM NRV (if you haven’t already) via the Social Bikes (SoBi) app or online at http://gotchabike.com/roamnrv/.

• You must track your ride as evidence of completion and send us a photo of yourself with your ROAM bike of choice.
Email cat@ridegotcha.com when you’ve completed your ride.
Include a pic of you with your ROAM bike, evidence of your ride (SoBi or Strava maps, photos, or other tracking), and confirm how many stations you reached.

• You must complete the challenge in the allotted time frame.

• You must have a good time!

The cost depends on length of time on bike and/or current membership type. Rentals are $1.00 for 15 minutes and the day pass is $10.00 for 24 hours.
