Sustainable Blacksburg presents the Center for Food Systems and Community Transformation Launch Event as part of Sustainable Blacksburg Week 2019 on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Human and Agricultural Biosciences Building 1 on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Join the launch event for the new Center for Food Systems and Community Transformation at Virginia Tech. This is a public event with program and reception featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Alice Julier, Associate Professor and Director of Food Studies at Chatham University. She is also the author of “Eating Together: Food, Friendship, and Inequality” and Director of The Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation (CRAFT) at Chatham.
A reception will follow at the Hahn Horticulture Garden.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The Human and Agricultural Biosciences Building 1 is located at 1230 Washington Street in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
