Description:
The 30th Annual Pembroke Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 on Snidow Street from the Pembroke Telephone Company to Ellen Street in Pembroke, VA.
Enjoy live entertainment, music, family fun and activities, 25+ vendors and informational booths, six food vendors at the annual Pembroke Heritage Festival.
Entertainment & Contest Schedule (Stage at Pembroke Methodist Church):
• 9:45 am: National Anthem
• 10:00-11:00 am: Music by Barren Minds
• 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Music by Tommy Griffith
• 12:00-1:00 pm: Giles School of Dance Performance
• 1:00-2:00 pm: Music by Tommy Griffith
• 1:30 pm: Best Beard Contest
• 2:00 pm: Pet Showing
• 2:00-3:00 pm: Dance Motion Performance
• 3:00-4:00 pm: Music by Jerry Stover
Activities include:
• Children's Nurf Gun Range
• Free Face Painting
• Children's Gun Safety Course
• American Heritage Girls Cake Walk at Christian Church Picnic Shelter
• Genealogy by Larry Greene in the Pembroke Methodist Church Gym
In addition, there will also be two grand openings and ribbon cuttings at this year's festival courtesy of the Giles County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. Cascade Laundromat Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting will be at 10:00 am and Bluegrass BBQ at 11:00 am. Both businesses are located on Snidow Street.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The Beard Contest categories are Longest Beard, Close Chopped Beard, Thick Full Beard and Out of Control Beard.
The Pembroke Heritage Festival was founded in 1989 by Isleta Lee Allen. The festival is located in Giles County in Pembroke, Virginia.
