Description:
The Rotary Club of Floyd presents the 2nd Annual Dog Show on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Floyd County Recreation Park Ballfield.
Schedule:
• 12:15 pm: Registration begins
• 1:00 pm: Competition begins
Bring your dog to participate or just attend as a spectator and enjoy the fun! Dogs can compete in the 13 different categories and will be judged by Julie Secovnie.
Categories include:
• Cutest Puppy Under 1 Year
• Longest Tail Proportionately
• Best Two Tricks
• Most Appealing Eyes
• Waggiest Tail
• Best Purebred
• Best Mixed Breed
• Best Owner / Dog Lookalike
• Best Early Halloween Costume
• Biggest Dog
• Smallest Dog
• Best Treat Catcher
• Surprise Class
Spectators are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. Category entry is $5.00 per category to enter the dog show.
Contestants must register at least 30 minutes before each category starts and the dog show will feature four classes per hour.
All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccination and be on a short leash. Handlers must be at least 9 years old. There is a maximum of 10 dogs per category.
All money raised will support the Rotary Club's local projects and community groups.
In case of rain, the dog show will be held on September 29th at the same time.
The Floyd County Recreation Park is located at 200 Park Drive in Floyd, Virginia off of Route 8.
