The Indian Students Association (ISA) at Virginia Tech presents the Diwali 2019 Cultural Show and Fireworks Celebration on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Haymarket Theater located within the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Event Schedule:
• 5:00-7:30 pm: Cultural Show
• 7:30-8:00 pm: Fireworks on the Drillfield
Join ISA at Virginia Tech for a night of celebration! Enjoy the performances of dance, drama and music from our extremely talented student body, an amazing display of fireworks, and savor the flavors of Indian cuisine, all in one night!
Diwali, also called the festival of lights, is one of the most important and widely celebrated festivals in India, signifying the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.
We welcome all who are interested in learning more about Indian culture through the vibrancy of cultural shows and the splendor of fireworks!
Admission is free.
