Musica Viva presents the concert "Musical Expressions from the Romantic Era" on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Squires Recital Salon on the campus of Virginia Tech.

This concert offers a wonderful variety of sounds from duo to piano quartet, featuring the Avanti Ensemble, and guest musician Sibbi Bernhardsson. The program includes Dvor?a´k Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano; Dvor?a´k ‘Dumky’ PianoTrio; Schumann Piano Quartet. Avanti Ensemble members: David Ehrlich, violin; Benjamin Wyatt, cello; Teresa Ehrlich, piano; Guest artist: Sibbi Bernhardsson, violin and viola.

Advance tickets are $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for students and $7.00 for youth. Tickets at the door are $25.00.

Musica Viva is organized to promote awareness and appreciation of chamber music specifically, and the arts in general. Since 2001 Musica Viva has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians for communities in the New River Valley and throughout Southwest Virginia.

We strive to provide five chamber music events per year. Musica Viva was created in recognition that access to the arts, in its many manifestations, is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community.
