The Virginia Association for Biological Farming, as part of their 21st Anniversary Virginia Biological Farming Conference, features author and filmmaker Charlie Thompson where he will will present his newest film, “Homeplace Under Fire: The Farm Advocate Story" on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 7:00-8:30 pm at The Hotel Roanoke inside the Pocahontas Room.
Son of Southwest Virginia, longtime rural activist, author, filmmaker, former organic farmer and now a professor at Duke University, Charlie Thompson, will present his newest film, “Homeplace Under Fire: The Farm Advocate Story.” The film was directed by Charlie Thompson and produced by Farm Aid. Charlie will be also be presenting his new memoir, Going Over Home: A Search for Rural Justice in an Unsettled Land, his seventh book.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Charlie’s books will be on sale at the event.
