Description:
The Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents the annual Old Christmas Celebration on Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Enjoy the traditions of Old Christmas along with Appalachian folklore, traditions, general fellowship and merriment.

Activities include:
• Musket Firing
• Living History with Local Historians
• Animal Adoption Drive with Local Animal Groups and Humane Societies
• Burning of the Holiday Greens
• King Cake
• Live Music
• Refreshments
• Museum Membership Drive
• Craft Beer for Purchase by the Mug from Buffalo Mountain Brewery
and more!

The event starts at noon with the main activities between 3:00-6:00 pm.

The membership drive for the museum will include gift bags for both membership renewals and new members. The gift bags will include beeswax taper candles made at the museum, a piece of traditional lye soap made by members of the museum family, seeds packages collected from the museum gardens, a membership card and the preliminary schedule of 2020 special events. The basic annual museum membership is $35.00.

Admission is free, however donations are warmly appreciated. Some activities have fees associated with them to participate.
