Blacksburg Library presents the presentation "Expanding Notions of Public Art" with Floyd artist Charlie Brouwer on Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Floyd County artist Charlie Brouwer will show slides and talk about various ways he has explored the possibilities of meaningfully engaging local and regional audiences through public art.
Charlie recently loaned one of his large sculptures to be on exhibit inside the Blacksburg Library. The sculpture titled "Desire, Knowledge, Mystery", depicts a person carrying a book, confidently looking up with his head in the stars.
