Description:
The Handmade Music School presents a Flatfoot and Two-Step Dance Workshop with Instructor and Dancer Maggie Oakes-Chitwood on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at The Floyd Country Store.

Maggie will break down the basics of flatfooting and also demonstrate simple two-stepping patterns in preparation for the 7:30 pm dance with Gap Civil.

Born and raised at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Maggie Oakes-Chitwood grew up around old-time music and has been dancing for several years. She got her start just down the mountain in Franklin County, Virginia where old-time music has deep roots. She learned to dance by watching close friends and seasoned steppers and developed her energetic and light footed style over time.

The cost for the class is $15.00.
