The Sports Data Analytics Club at Virginia Tech presents Kenneth Massey with the talk "Spring Forward: Sorting Teams with Robins and Brackets" on Friday, January 31, 2020 in McBryde Hall in room 129 on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Kenneth Massey, producer of the Massey Ratings, a component of the Bowl Championship Series for 15 years, will discuss the challenges and methods of composing college and professional sports rankings.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
The event is sponsored by the Department of Mathematics and the Computational Modeling and Data Analytics Program.
