Description:
The Virginia Tech Union (VTU) presents the 2020 Band Slam on Thursday, February 6, 2020 inside the Commonwealth Ballroom, located within the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

VTU is proud to present their annual battle-of-the-bands, Band Slam! After a search for the best bands Virginia Tech has to offer, we narrowed it down to six finalists who will compete for the winning prize, the opening slot on our SoundFest stage in April.

Band Slam will showcase each of these bands, who will all perform sets of their best work to be judged by both the audience and a panel of celebrity judges.

Band Showcase:
• The Noodle
• Icebox The Band
• La Sopa
• The Sidewalk Slammers
• Sequel
• Why Bother

Admission is free and all are welcome.

This event is planned and executed by the Alternative Sounds committee of The Virginia Tech Union.

Doors open at 4:30 pm and the show starts at 5:00 pm.
