Great Road on Main and Bowling Creative Media present a Christiansburg High School Band Booster Club Fundraiser with music from Barren Minds, Dillon Partain & Drew Dodson on Friday, May 22, 2020.

Enjoy three talented acts: Dillon Partain, Drew Dodson and Barren Minds, all current Christiansburg High School students as they showcase their talents in support of their fellow Christiansburg High School students. Ms. Allison Epperly will emcee this awesome lineup of talent.

All tips and donations will benefit the CHS Band Boosters to help cover students costs for marching band who have been affected by COVID-19 due to a loss of family income.

Barren Minds plays a mix of 60s, 70s and 80s rock as well as some original material that has a blues and rock influence.

The band was originally formed while they were students at Christiansburg High, they placed multiple times in the annual Shelor Motor Mile Grow The Future Regional High School Talent Show.

Dillon Partain sings and plays guitar, piano, keyboard, and ukulele. He plays multiple genres and music from different decades. He is a three-year nationalist on piano and has taken private lessons for six years. He sings with the Chamber choir at Christiansburg High School and has played in worship bands for 5 years.

Drew Dodson, a talented singer and musician from Southwest Virginia, is a student at James Madison University studying Music Education. He brings a great variety of covers ranging from Americana to pop to R&B to rock all with his own soulful and funky touch! Drew’s stage presence and ability to connect with the audience is that of a seasoned musician.

He started performing at an early age. At 14 he played bass guitar and provided backup vocals in an adult classic rock band. At 16 he decided to go out on his own to perform solo acoustic sets at local restaurants and any place that would have him. Since then, Drew’s been playing breweries, restaurants and other venues from Tennessee to Northern Virginia.
