The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech continues their online series the Moss Vault with the entertainment performance "Forces" performed by Streb starting on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm through Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at midnight.

Just because you can’t currently attend performances in the Moss Arts Center's spectacular theatre doesn’t mean you can’t experience unforgettable music, dance, and theatre right where you are.

For a limited time, we’re raising the curtain on past performances from our archives. Find a new performance here each week. Each performance will only be available for two days, so don’t miss your chance to see what we’ve released from our video vault.

Elizabeth Streb, the "Evel Knievel of Dance", nimbly weaves dance, aesthetics, rodeo, the circus and Hollywood-style stunt work into one amazing live performance.

STREB began in 1985 with a stubborn investigation of action, ranging from everyday movements to the extreme action of sports, the circus, and thrill rides; the impulse to action that is in our souls. The company is a world-class entertainment phenomenon that stays true to its scientific and populist roots. STREB, whose cutting-edge, dangerous talent was featured at the 2012 London Olympics, invents action ideas that are daring, yet understandable, that soar past our critical senses and land in our hearts.

FORCES is the story of that action, it is the journey to harness invisible forces, it is the quest to mount a machine and learn its tricks.

The performance was performed live on Friday, October 2, 2015.
