The Virginia Tech Office of Economic Development presents Vibrant Virginia Virtual Conversation to focus on Economic Resilience and Responses to COVID-19 on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
Join panelists for an interactive webinar featuring community leaders across Virginia and Virginia Tech experts on economic development, community health and disaster recovery and resilience.
In the midst of our collective efforts to respond to the COVID-19 global pandemic, it has become increasingly clear that we rely on each other to keep ourselves safe and healthy. As we now begin to pivot toward a phased re-opening across our country, we have an opportunity to direct that collaborative energy toward helping our communities emerge in ways that are economically sustainable.
Panelists will include: Charlotte Baker, Assistant Professor of Population Health Sciences at Virginia Tech; Margaret Cowell, Associate Professor of Urban Affairs and Planning at Virginia Tech; Chris Zobel, Professor of Business Information Technology at Virginia Tech; Beth Doughty, Executive Director of the Roanoke Regional Partnership; Stephanie Landrum, CEO of the Alexandria Economic Development Department; and Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development.
The event is free and open to the public.
