Blacksburg Wine Lab presents a Women & Wine Tasting with the theme "Women Owned and Run Wineries" on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Experience a unique monthly gathering tailored to women, but all are welcome if interested. Where ladies, get together, sip, swirl, taste and educate ourselves in a very light and approachable way, in the sometimes intimidating and vast world of wine.

Each month we will focus on a main theme. This month we will focus on women owned and run wineries focusing upon easy drinking whites. It's summer and its white wine season!

List of Whites Wines included in Tasting:
• Big Salt a white blend of Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Muscat
• Raza, Vinho Verde
• Pares Balta, Blanc de Pac
• Fernhook, Sauvignon Blanc
• La Fraghe, Garganega

We will taste five wines with our co-host Kristen from Free Run Wine. We will discuss each wine and information on the grape varietals as well as the story behind the vineyard and the leading lady wine makers. We will explore how to taste wine and also enjoy a customized cheese/snack pairing particularly for white wines and the best food pairings for white wine from dry to sweet with information for you to take home. If perhaps you fall in love with any of these wines you will receive a discount of 15% off on any case ordered at the end of the evening.

The cost is $30.00 a person and reservations are required.
