Description:
FCA Endurance SW Virginia presents the 29th Annual Wilderness Road Ride titled "A Gran Fondo" on Saturday, September 12, 2020 starting at the Bisset Park's Shelter #2 with a rolling start from 6:45-8:30 am.
A scenic and historical adventure through southwest Virginia’s beautiful New River Valley, the ride follows part of Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Road. This is a ride for all ride levels to enjoy, with something for everyone, five routes to choose from ranging from a 29 mile relaxed journey for novices to a century challenge for the fittest cyclist. This is a must ride for cyclists of all ages and athletic abilities.

All routes start and finish in Radford at Bisset Park's Shelter #2. Start times will be staged between 6:45-8:30 am.

Registrations will be accepted during the day of the event. Please arrive by 7:00 am for day of registration which closes at 8:30 am.
This year there is a rider cap of 200 has been established.
All participants will receive a moisture wicking buff do rag and other goodies.
Note: Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and ANSI or Snell Certified helmets are required. Riders under 8 years old must have permission from the event director.
Please remember, this is not a race. All traffic laws, signals, and signs must be obeyed.
Fully supported aid stations will be positioned at regular intervals along the course and the start/finish location. Aid stations will be supplied with Heed Hammer Nutrition fuel as well as water and plenty of other snacks.
Non-riders can enjoy Bisset Park, the New River, and downtown Radford, while their families and friends are out riding.
Detailed maps and cue sheets will be available at the start of the ride.
