Virginia Cooperative Extension presents a Virginia Virtual Farm to Table Program titled "Peanuts" on Friday, September 11, 2020.

Let’s visit a local Virginia peanut farm to see where and how peanuts are grown. After you see how peanuts are grown, Katie Strong, FCS Agent serving Fairfax County, demonstrates a simple and healthful peanut soup recipe.

Virginia agriculture is incredibly diverse, and despite our current challenges, farmers all across the commonwealth are busy keeping food on their customers' tables. In this program, we will take a virtual tour of Virginia farms and learn how food is produced on them. Then we will learn how to prepare new recipes with those foods.

All sessions will be offered on Fridays at 2:00 pm, are 40 minutes long, and are open to everyone.
