The Virginia Tech and the Science Museum of Western Virginia presents the 2020 Virtual Virginia Tech Science Festival online on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
Science is Bigger Than You Think! Want to find out how? Then visit our first ever virtual science festival to take part in the 2020 Virginia Tech Science Festival. This free event takes you through all of our typical hands-on programming from the comfort of your couch!
Normally, we’d be celebrating with you in person at the Moss Arts Center and the Virginia Tech Libraries, but in the interest of public health and safety we’re going online in 2020. You can still participate in experiences with Virginia Tech students and faculty, as well as community members from across the New River Valley! We hope you will join us in the first ever virtual delivery of this annual event as thousands of students explore and learn more about the world around them.
The COVID edition of the Virginia Tech Science Festival maintains two-way conversations between scientists and learners by hosting teleconferenced Meetups between learner groups and scientists before the official festival date. Edited videos of these teleconferences will be unveiled to the public on the festival day.
