Hillel at Virginia Tech presents the 14th Annual Daniel Pearl Music Day event featuring a virtual Question and Answer Session with Comedian John Mulaney online on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Laugh with John Mulaney as we virtually host our annual Daniel Pearl Music Day. Learn more about who he is and hear a few jokes along the way!

John Mulaney is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer. He is best known for his work as a writer on "Saturday Night Live" and as a stand-up comedian with stand-up specials "The Top Part", "New in Town", "The Comeback Kid" and "Kid Gorgeous", for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special in 2018.

He was the creator and star of the short-lived Fox sitcom "Mulaney", a semi-autobiographical series about his life. He is also known for his voice acting work as Andrew Glouberman in the Netflix original animated show "Big Mouth". Mulaney made his film debut in 2018, voicing Peter Porker/Spider-Ham in the Academy Award-winning animated feature film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse".

Tickets are $10.00 for the general public and $5.00 for Virginia Tech students. Attendees will receive a URL link to the private screening through the email address registered moments before the event starts.

Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Student Centers and Activities Ticket Office on the first floor of the Squires Student Center or by phone by calling the Ticket Office at 540-231-5615.

Daniel Pearl Music Day is an international network of concerts that connects people through music. Daniel Pearl was a Jewish journalist and musician who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002. As he traveled the world, he connected with people through their shared love of music. Each year, we honor his memory through a series of international concerts that uses the universal love of music to encourage people of all backgrounds to come together to work towards a more humane world.
