2020 Frosty 5k for Charity (Virtual Race)

Runabout Sports presents the 2020 Frosty 5k virtual race with virtual run / walk starting on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 through Sunday, December 27, 2020 with registration due by Sunday, December 27, 2020.
We were hoping to hold the 18th Frosty 5K in-person this year, but with COVID-19 at dangerous levels, our priority will continue to be the health and safety of our community. Instead, and in true 2020 fashion, we will hold the Frosty 5K virtually.
This year, 100% of the entry fees collected go to charity! You can choose the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry, The Giving Tree Food Pantry (located in Christiansburg) or the Radford/Fairlawn New River Community Action Emergency Assistance Program (RCEAP).
We will also have a costume contest and giveaway 20 gift cards to local restaurants!
The registration fee is $15.00 per registrant not including online registration fees of $3.25 per registrant.
Attendees are welcome to give more if you are able. Again 100% of entries received will go directly to our charities. You can drop off checks at Runabout Sports or you can make an additional donation online.

Participants can run or walk the 5k on their preferred course or use the existing Frosty 5k course behind the North Main Food Lion location in Blacksburg, VA. The course will be marked on Wednesday, December 23rd and the marking usually last two or three days. The Frosty 5k Course can be found at: https://runaboutsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Frosty-Course.jpg.
Times must be submitted online and will be collected from Wednesday, December 23rd through Sunday, December 27th, the last day to register. Participants must submit their times in order to be eligible to win one of the gift cards.
Only 275 long-sleeve cotton shirts have been ordered so register as soon as you can to get your shirt. RunAbout Sports and Eleven West are paying for the shirts so that 100% of entry fees can go to charities.
As we always have great costumes for this event, the best one will win a $50.00 gift card to RunAbout Sports. Whether you're in costume or not, please send us photos of your Frosty 5K experience at runaboutsports@gmail.com.
We will also collect canned foods during t-shirt pick up at the RunAbout Sports store.
