Blacksburg Wine Lab presents the Catena Wine Dinner on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Join us as we host Ann Marie Sgroi of Catena Wines for an educational and scrumptious wine tasting and dinner.
Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and in discovering extreme high altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza.
The Catena wines are a blend of single varietal lots from the Catena family’s vineyards. Each vineyard is divided into lots that are harvested separately, and specially prepared to be part of the final blend of each Catena wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Chardonnay. By blending components from different terroirs and altitudes, we aim to create the most balanced and expressive wine.
Our Catena Line-Up:
• 2019 Alta Chardonnay
• 2016 Alta Malbec
• 2018 Alta Malbec
• 2018 Argentino Malbec
• 2020 Argentino Malbec
• 2017 Nicolas Catena Zapata, a Cabernet Malbec blend
• 2019 Nicolas Catena Zapata, a Cabernet Malbec blend
These will be paired with a coursed dinner from Chef Bryan.
Total Ticket Cost is $130.00 per person and does not include tax or gratuity. Reserve your spot with a $65.00 deposit, which is transferable but NOT refundable. You'll pay the remaining $65.00+tax and gratuity on the night of the event.
