Description:
The NRV Airshow and the Holiday Inn University in Blacksburg have teamed up for the Cockpit Cocktail Concert and Silent Auction on Wednesday, August 15th. There will be live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, dancing, door prizes, silent auction and numerous contests.

A ribbon cutting with Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will kick off the NRV AirShow season at 4:45 pm followed by the Cockpit Cocktail Concert and Silent Auction. Unique items will be offered for bid in the silent auction, and anyone who can say “Cockpit Cocktail Concert” five times in a row without faltering will win free tickets to “Just Plane Grapes” WineFest/BeerFest at the AirShow.

The event will take place in the beautiful courtyard of the Holiday Inn across from Virginia Tech and is open to the public for $10 starting at 5:00 pm. If the weather gets ugly, the party will move inside.

Funds raised from this event will be used to fund Warbird and military participation for NRV SkyFest AirShow on September 7, 8 & 9, 2012. Door prizes and silent auction items will be accepted until August 14 at the Holiday Inn, University or will be collected by our volunteers.
