Williams & Company (Band)

Biography:

Williams & Company was formed at Belmont University in Nashville and consists of members Alex Williams (vocals/guitar), Sam Vanfossen (guitar/vocals) and Lucas Moomaw (drums/vocals).

Fueled by Williams’ rich vocals and thoughtful songwriting, The band’s neo-classic country rock sound is derived from a melting pot of influences like Billy Joe Shaver, Waylon Jennings, The Band, Bob Marley, and Steve Earle.

They won the coveted Belmont University Country Showcase in 2013. In 2014 the band won The Wildhorse Saloon’s “Battle for the Saddle,” judged by music industry icons including Grammy-winning record producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, et. al), APA Talent Agent Jeff Howard (Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels Band, et. al.), and Trick Pony’s Ira Dean.

They were featured on the syndicated radio and television show Music City Roots and their current single “The Distance” was recently featured as American Songwriter magazine’s “Daily Discovery,” and has aired on Zuus Country television as a part of their “On the Rise” feature. They’ve also been invited to perform at this year’s Country Thunder music festival in Twin Lakes, WI.
