New River Valley Amateur Radio Club (Hobby / Recreation)
Biography:
The New River Valley Amateur Radio Club works together to spread the word about amateur radio. If you are new to the area or are not involved in a local amateur radio organization, we encourage you to visit our club and become acquainted with members of the amateur radio community from the New River Valley.
Club members are involved in a wide range of enjoyable amateur radio activities. These activities include attending our monthly meetings, helping provide communications for public service events such as the Mountains of Misery Bike Ride and the Wilderness Road Bike Ride, checking in to weekly nets on our repeaters, and participating in ARRL Field Day. We also get together for breakfast on Saturday mornings at a local restaurants.
