The Dimestore Cowboys (Band)
Biography:
The Dimestore Cowboys perform country music the way it was meant to be played. Based in Washington County, Tennessee and formed in 2012, the band plays classic honky tonk, Appalachian country and outlaw country.
The Dimestore Cowboys recorded their first single with a classic country sounding gospel tune “She Left Me for Jesus” in 2012 at The Sound Asylum and produced by Troy Whitson. It wasn’t until 2016 they would release their first full length album “Trend” which attracted a lot of attention.
It seems that country music has evolved into more of a modern pop style sound and has lost its roots. The Dimestore Cowboys' goal is to play country music as it was intended to be played by the pioneers of old. They are not really trying to start a new revolution, just trying to showcase the art of true country music.
