Join the Market Square Jam with host band Sam Linkous and Friends. The Jam is a weekly event that takes place Wednesday evenings from 8-11 pm at the site of the Farmers Market on Draper Road. Director of the Crooked Road Music Trail Jack Hinshelwood will also be in attendance. The first 100 folks in attendance will receive free Market Square Jam posters. The season will run from July 11 – September 26. Sam Linkous is a bluegrass musician from Blacksburg. Join him and his friends as they host the Market Square Jam and entertain. Catering to traditional old time and bluegrass music, the Jam brings musicians together to pick a tune, enjoy some fun times with their friends and family, and take in all that downtown Blacksburg has to offer. Whether you’re a musician or just looking for some great music on a Wednesday night, come out to the Farmers Market and enjoy a great time. Something different this year, “host” bands. Every Wednesday night, in addition to the impromptu jam, there will be a host band to welcome musicians and get the party started.
