Join Claytor Lake State Park for their free Sailing 101 class offered every Wednesday and Sunday weather permitting from July 3, 2013 - September 1, 2013. Have you ever wanted to go sailing? By reserving your spot in this program you can learn the basics of sail boat handling, terminology, and on-the-water training in this unique 2 hour program. And the course is free! Registration is required and begins in June at the park gift shop. Programs run from July - September on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. Note: The start time depends on the wind since the class actually takes place on the lake sailing and the wind patterns cannot be predicted.
