The Blacksburg Library hosts The Summer Reading Program Teen Volunteer Orientation and Training on Wednesday, May 29th. This year our Summer Reading Program (SRP) begins on Monday, June 3 and ends on Saturday, July 27. We couldn’t have this program without the help of our teen volunteers, and we hope to have your help again this year! Interested volunteers, ages 11 years and up, are encouraged to attend the required training to learn about new features of this year’s SRP. During this training we’ll teach you about the SRP sign-up process (including a new, online option!), tell you about the upcoming SRP programs, share the basic volunteer expectations and FEED YOU PIZZA! Please drop off your SRP applications in advance if possible or call Elizabeth to register for training if an application is not completed in advance. Also, we’ll need a RSVP to order enough pizza!
