As part of the Summer Arts Festival, the Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts & Cinema presents the play "Stuart Little" performed by the Roanoke Children's Theatre Group in the Squires Studio Theatre on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd on 2 pm and 6 pm, and on Sunday, June 23rd at 2 pm. Stuart Little jumps off the page and onto our stage in this adaptation of E.B. White's classic children's story of a spunky mouse finding out what it's like to be a "Little" guy living in a big people's world. Stuart Little the play was written by Joseph Robinette and based on the book by E.B. White. This is a family friendly play to be enjoyed by all ages. Admission is free. To reserve your ticket online, visit: http://stuartlittle.eventbrite.com/ Note: If the performance becomes sold out, you are encouraged to come to the Squires Studio Theatre lobby one hour prior to the performance to be placed on our waitlist - first come, first listed. We sometimes have folks with reserved tickets unable to make it, and those seats are given to our waitlist. Being seated from the waitlist is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate. The Summer Arts Festival (a joint effort by Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg) was established in 1991. This Festival is held each summer beginning in June and ending in late August. This year's events will provide New River Valley residents, Tech faculty/staff/students, conference attendees, and tourists with an attractive array of arts and cultural attractions. These include: live theatre productions; gallery exhibitions at the Armory Art Gallery; outdoor musical concerts on Henderson Lawn, an Independence Day Celebration sponsored by the Town of Blacksburg; the Steppin' Out Street Festival, Art at the Market, Summer Solstice sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association; three classic films sponsored by and being shown at The Lyric Theatre on College Avenue and, again this year, we are featuring a Storyteller.
