Description: Musica Viva presents their 2016/17 season finale concert "Annelies - Music based on the text of The Diary of Anne Frank" at the Moss Arts Center's Anne & Ellen Fife Theatre on Sunday, April 23, 2017.

This concert is presented in partnership with Hillel at Virginia Tech for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Due to the overwhelming audience response from Musica Viva’s 2015 performance of this work, we bring you Annelies once again, and this time in the beautiful Moss Arts Center.

Music by James Whitbourn and based on The Diary of Anne Frank, this dramatic and powerful piece is described as ‘devastatingly beautiful.’ Conducted by Larry Wyatt, performers include the Colla Voce Choir from South Carolina; Ariana Wyatt, soprano; David Ehrlich, violin; Ben Wyatt, cello; Phillip Paglialonga, clarinet; Teresa Ehrlich, piano.

Tickets can be purchased online or through the Virginia Tech Ticket Office. To purchase tickets online, visit: http://www.musicaviva-swva.com/onlineorders.php.

Musica Viva is organized to promote awareness and appreciation of chamber music specifically, and the arts in general. Since 2001 Musica Viva has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians for communities in the New River Valley and throughout Southwest Virginia.

We strive to provide five chamber music events per year. Musica Viva was created in recognition that access to the arts, in its many manifestations, is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community.

Blacksburg-based Musica Viva is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
