Description: Rising Silo Farm Brewery presents an Earth Day Celebration with music from Tellico on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

Schedule:
• 4:00 pm: Earth Day Activities begin
• 5:00-8:00 pm: Concert from Tellico

In honor of Earth Day, we gather to celebrate the gifts of fresh air and community in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain home. Please join us for the 1st Annual Earth Day Celebration featuring a concert with Tellico, an acoustic “Appalachiacana” band from Asheville, NC!

Activities start at 4 pm with a “pop-up walkabout” meetup and stroll over to Heritage Trail located directly across the street from the farm. Then Tellico takes the stage starting at 5 pm.

Tellico plays Appalachian Folk, acoustic, Bluegrass, Old Time and Blues. Firmly planted in Asheville, NC's thriving roots music scene, Tellico is well schooled in bluegrass, but with an unbridled organic Appalachiacana sound, combining some of the finest voices, songs and instrumental prowess in western North Carolina and beyond.

Tellico features the singing and songwriting of Anya Hinkle (guitar, fiddle) and Stig Stiglets (bass, harmonica), with Aaron Ballance on dobro and Jed Willis on mandolin and clawhammer banjo. In late 2018, Tellico released Woven Waters (Organic Records) produced by Celtic guitar legend John Doyle, and quickly won honors on folk charts for #1 song and artist in just its first month at radio.

Anya and Stig's committed, authentic vocals are alloyed with Aaron's flowing and soaring Dobro and Jed's textured and expressive mandolin, rooted in the mountain music they grew up with while pushing tradition into a modern Americana sound aesthetic.

Tour highlights include appearances at MerleFest, Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival and Bristol Rhythm and Roots to name a few.
