The Town of Blacksburg and the Mount Tabor Ruritan Club present the 31st Annual 4th of July Parade on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in downtown Blacksburg, VA starting at 2:00 pm. Enjoy floats, bicycles, wagons, marchers, walkers, antique and classic cars, race cars, horses, fire engines, scouts, bands, sports teams and more in the 31st Annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade. The parade route begins at the old Blacksburg Middle School property and continues along Main Street ending at Alumni Mall near Virginia Tech's Drillfield. The theme of the 2017 parade is "Let Freedom Ring". Trophies will be given out for the best theme representation, best youth parade entry and best overall parade entry. The parade starts at 2:00 pm and the line-up begins at 1:30 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. Immediately following the parade, the Lyric will show the classic movie "Annie" free of charge sponsored by the Mount Tabor Ruritan Club starting around 3 pm.
