Description: The Guerrilla Folk Music Society and Coalition For Justice present the first annual Pantry Fest, a benefit for the Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread and Meals On Wheels on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Old Seventh Day Adventist Church in Radford, VA.

Enjoy six hours of music with 11 local musical acts on two separate stages for a day of great local music! Donations of food and cash will be accepted to help out both the Radford-Fairlwan Daily Bread and Meals On Wheels.

The Radford-Fairlwan Daily Bread provides meals at no cost for people in need, no questions asked, serving the Radford and Fairlawn communities through it's dine-in program. Meals on Wheels provides food for homebound individuals in our community.

Scott Fore is an internationally recognized guitarist from Radford, VA having won the National Flatpicking Championships two times that is held in Winfield, Kansas. He is also the Doc Watson guitar champion and the Wayne Henderson Champion of Champions. He has also has published a popular instructional book on flatpicking.

The Beatnik Nightmare is from Radford, VA and plays all original alternative, psychedelic and rock. They cite King Crimson, The Beatles, Azam Ali, Zappa, and Donovan as their influences.

From the dregs of local barbands rises a socially interested gaggle of misfits whose vision exists to change musical history! A new psychedelic view of a world gone mad and dreams of a better future.

Near November is an alternative rock band based in Blacksburg, VA formed in 2013. Although initially playing covers of their favorite bands such as Pearl Jam, Counting Crows, Pink Floyd, R.E.M., they have been working on and perform their own original material as well.

Neal Skieebo Wyms is a singer, song writer, blues extraordinaire and multi-instrumentalist who hails from Radford, VA and has performed professionally for most of his life. His music ranges from blues, soul, country, R&B, pop, and even some jazz as well as gospel.

Self taught, he plays all the instruments and sings all vocals on his recorded works to date. Neal has taken up guitar playing and added instruments to his repertoire including bass, keyboards, piano, drums, and harmonica. His blues influences are Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Lightning Hopkins, Elmore James and Keb Mo among others. He sings original songs and covers from artists such as John Mayer, Bill Withers, Leon Bridges, BB King, Kembo and Prince.

Neal discovered his gift for music and performing during his childhood years. His career has spanned over 30+ years. Neal has toured with female jazz vocalist, Miss Jane Powell, and has played bass for several top 40 bands and jazz combos including pop group Arrested Development, Bobby Brown's group Smooth Silk and legendary blues and soul artist Clarence Carter and William Bell.

The Billy Coteau Cajun Band is a Cajun / Creole band based in Blacksburg, VA.

Last Train North is an alternative rock band based in Blacksburg, VA. The foursome looks to create great music and put on entertaining shows regardless of where they are or who is watching. They group combines elements from their background in rock, indie, blues, pop, jazz and more to create a tight and unique sound.
