The Newbern Volunteer Fire Department presents the 47th Annual Newbern Fall Festival on Saturday, October 14, 2017 and Sunday, October, 15, 2017. The annual festival will provide fun and interests for all ages and is an enjoyable, easy-going day for the whole family. Featuring ~100 vendors, activities & entertainment including: • Original Arts & Crafts • Baskets • Jewelry • Handmade Furniture and Woodworking Items • Amish Baked Goods • Fire Trucks at the Fire Station • Food & Beverage Vendors • Pony Rides • Storytellers • Author Signings • Live Music and Roving Musicians • Fellowship, friends & much more! Musicians scheduled to perform at the Wilderness Road Museum over the two-day festival include Ron Ireland, Coyote Edwards, Misty Jackson, Jim Crandall, Carrie Hinkley & Maggie Blankenship, Waiting to Exhale, Adam Musick, Chase Altizer, Rob Neukirch, Jim Lloyd, Nate Montgomery and Eric Pratt. Admission is free. Parking is $2.00 per vehicle. The event is rain or shine. Historic Newbern, VA is located off of Interstate 81 at Exit 98. Take a left on Route 100 toward Draper and pass the commercial area. Take a left on Hance Road to parking at the intersection with Wilderness Road.
