Description: ESPN presents the live taping of their College GameDay program live before the Virginia Tech for Clemson vs. Virginia Tech football game on Saturday, September 30, 2017 starting at 9:00 am at Virginia Tech's Alumni Mall.

ESPN TV personalities Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, David Pollack, Maria Taylor, Tom Rinaldi and Gene Wojciechowski will go live on campus at 9 am and broadcast their entire program live.

Fans can arrive as early as 4 am to begin lining up. “The Pit” area will open at 5 am. SportsCenter live hits will start during the 7 am hour before GameDay goes live.

College GameDay is a pre-game show broadcast by ESPN as part of the network's coverage of college football, broadcast on Saturday mornings during the college football season. Known for its festive tailgate party atmosphere, thousands of fans gather behind the broadcast set and become the background for the show. Generally GameDay appears at the site of the one of the biggest college game for that week. Known for large, enthusiastic crowds of fans and outrageous and hilarious fan signs, GameDay has become a must-watch event for college football fans across the country.

This will be ESPN's College GameDay's sixth appearance in Blacksburg, VA and their first visit to campus since 2007. GameDAy has been on site for 10 Virginia Tech games both home and away since 1999. The Virginia Tech crowd set the attendance record for GameDay which has since been broken. The Hokies are 4-1 in home GameDay contests.

Rules for Attendees:
• Fans entering the pit will be checked by a security wand.
• No bags, backpacks or purses will be permitted in the pit.
• No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signage will be allowed (i.e., no political, religious, or .com, .org, .net signage).
• No signs on a stick.
• No pens, pencils, markers or dry erase boards.
• No food or drinks.
• Throwing of objects is prohibited.
