Description: Radford Public Library presents Author Cece Bell Visits the Radford Public Library on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

Cece Bell will present to all ages about her books “Sock Monkey” and “El Deafo” and more. Books will be available for purchase.

Cece Bell is a children's book author and illustrator. She grew up in Salem, Virginia. She met her husband, writer Tom Angleberger, at the College of William and Mary, where they were both art majors. Cece went on to get a graduate degree in illustration and design at Kent State University. She has worked as a freelance illustrator for all kinds of nutty projects, but is now a full-time author and illustrator.

Her graphic novel memoir, El Deafo, which chronicles her childhood experiences with hearing loss, received a Newbery Honor and an Eisner Award in 2015.

Her other book titles include "I Yam A Donkey", "Chuck And Woodchuck", "The Inspector Flytrap" series (with Tom Angleberger), "Rabbit & Robot: The Sleepover", "Rabbit & Robot And Ribbit", "Crankee Doodle" (with Tom Angleberger), "Bug Patrol" (with Denise Mortensen), "Itty Bitty", "Bee-wigged", two chunky board books, and "The Sock Monkey" series.
