The Floyd Center for the Arts presents a Free Open Ceramics Studio to Benefit Empty Bowls Charity on Friday, February 23, 2018 and on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 pm. The Floyd Center for the Arts invites potters of all experience levels to come make use of our studio, materials, and equipment, free of charge, under the condition that the pieces made are to be donated to the Empty Bowls charitable fundraiser. Floyd County's 11th annual Empty Bowls event will be held at The Floyd County High School on April 8th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. Additionally, we will hold a free glazing day on Saturday, March 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Any bowls unglazed after this point will be glazed by the ceramics studio manager and volunteers, and donated to the event. The Center is also a drop off point for any potters who wish to bring in finished bowls from their own studio.
