Palisades Restaurant presents The Bailsmen in a special concert on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. After spending the last two winters living in and exploring the musical culture of New Orleans, the Bailsmen will be embarking on a tour that takes in the southeast United States including Eggleston, Virginia and The Palisades. The Bailsmen play Gypsy Jazz and Vintage Swing. The quartet is well-known throughout the New York area and has built quite the fan base packing dance floors with high-energy, vintage music since coming on the scene in 2011. As a jazz band, the Bailsmen combine the charisma of Louis Armstrong with the style of Duke Ellington and top it off with a little Django Reinhardt and Sidney Bechet for good measure. The result is a blend of hearty Brooklyn grit, quaint French bistro, and the beat of a New York City swing club. They have performed for The Rainbow Room, Conde Nast, New York Fashion Week, The Gramercy Park Hotel, Huffington Post, and many private concerts, weddings, and events.
