UPDATE: Due to Montgomery County Public School's two hour delay this event has been cancelled according to the weather policy. Blacksburg Newcomers Club presents their March Meeting with Kathy’s Rescue Cats on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Blacksburg, VA. At the Chadwick household cats rule the roost. Neither Kathy nor Jim can resist helping homeless, hurt, or abandoned cats. With so many cats, they needed to find homes for their rescues. To their aid comes Andrea Muscatello along with Brian Currin and four members of Blacksburg High School’s Distributive Education Club (DECA). Join us to hear the story of Kathy’s Rescue Cats. This joint venture between adults and teenagers has worked to everyone’s advantage and provided professional opportunities for students Adia Long, Lucas Keighton, and Stephen Kromin. Don’t miss this positive, uplifting story and be ready to ooh and aah over adorable cat photos. There is no cost for guests attending the meeting. Membership dues are $25.00 a year and include participation in interest groups. Free babysitting is available for pre-school children ages 6 months and older. Weather Policy: Meetings will be cancelled if Montgomery County Public Schools have a two-hour delay or schools are closed.
